Our client, an internationally operating producer in the FMCG, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer (day shift) who wants to help build a reliable and high-tech machine park. Here you will have a varied job in which you can learn a lot and make an important contribution to the production process of millions of cans per day.

• Job description

  As Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the machines and installations. With your technical expertise, you will analyse and improve the performance of the machinery, initiate projects and work together with international colleagues and suppliers. You manage a small team of maintenance engineers and ensure that the maintenance programme runs smoothly.

  Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the annual plan including budget and investment decisions;
  • Prepare long-term planning of maintenance work and monitor capacity and resources;
  • Compliance with standards and assurance of safety, including EH&S improvement plans;
  • Establish and execute the maintenance programme, resolve complex malfunctions and perform problem analysis;
  • Initiate and supervise continuous improvement projects focused on machines and plants;
  • Contribute to quality improvement and renewal projects and advise on replacement projects based on cost-benefit analysis;
  • Signal technological developments and discuss applicability with the central technical team;
  • Encourage personal development and team collaboration, including preparation of training plans;
  • Responsible for HR activities such as onboarding, development, appraisal and inflow and outflow of employees.

• Offer
  • MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level with knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics;
  • Leadership experience and knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S);
  • Knowledge of production processes, machinery and installations;
  • Knowledge of internal guidelines, procedures and safety and food regulations;
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
