    As Engineering Parts Manager, you are responsible for providing technical support and preparing the production organisation. You will lead the Factory Engineering, CAM, Toolshop and Technical Services departments and ensure that they contribute optimally to a safe, efficient and future-proof production environment. You will be part of the Parts Operations Team (OT) and report directly to the Operations Manager. In this role, you will actively contribute to the strategic development of the factory and translate business objectives into concrete improvement initiatives. The focus will be on reducing the time-to-market for new products, reducing machining times, increasing machine availability, strengthening technical competencies within the organisation, improving process control using SPC methodologies, and accelerating digitalisation and automation.

    • Managing the Factory Engineering, CAM, Toolshop and Technical Services departments (approx. 50 FTEs). In this role, you will directly manage team leaders and, indirectly, staff within these departments;
    • Ensuring stable, efficient and future-proof technical support and preparation of production processes;
    • Developing and implementing improvements in the areas of standardisation, digitisation and automation;
    • Actively shaping and implementing the technical roadmap and long-term development of the Parts factory;
    • Identifying and implementing new technologies that contribute to quality, delivery reliability, safety and efficiency;
    • Working with Production and Quality to further enhance process performance and continuous improvement;
    • Responsible for the performance, maintenance strategy, capacity and availability of the machinery;
    • Initiating and overseeing investment projects and new means of production;
    • To encourage the development of technical knowledge and skills within the organisation;
    • Promoting process control, including through the application of SPC methodologies;
    • Creating a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

    • You have a higher vocational education (HBO) or university degree in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering;
    • You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
    • You have experience working in a high-tech manufacturing environment, and knowledge of machining is a strong advantage;
    • You are able to provide direction for a complex technical organisation and build support for change;
    • You set clear priorities, make decisions in a clear manner and communicate them in a way that is easy to understand;
    • You have a proven track record when it comes to team leadership, and you have well-developed coaching and people management skills.
