At this dynamic and crucial location within the network of DPD Netherlands, as a (Senior) Service Technician you make sure that everything keeps running. Whether it's preventive maintenance, quick troubleshooting or inspections of transport systems and sorters; you are close to the heart of the operation. In this role, you are the first point of contact for technical problems and play a key role in minimising downtime.

• Job description

  As a (Senior) Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out daily work within your shift in a safe, efficient and effective manner. You will be part of a small team of three technicians and work in a 16/5 shift system. Your work is both electrical and mechanical in nature and includes installation, maintenance, modification and fault repair. You will also act as a point of contact for both the customer and the remote technical service team.

  Your duties/responsibilities: 

  • Monitor safety (HSE) and compliance with agreements;
  • Ensuring a well-functioning installation;
  • Solving mechanical, electromechanical and control failures;
  • Participate in shift transfers with colleagues and the customer;
  • Be first point of contact for technical issues on behalf of the customer and our client;
  • Initiate and implement improvements to systems, processes and team functioning;
  • Follow up on escalation procedures if management intervention is required;
  • Coordinate all planned and unplanned maintenance activities during your shift;
  • Proper administration of work in the maintenance system (CMMS Maximo);
  • Contribute to structural process improvements and increase service levels.

• Offer
  • At least a completed technical MBO-4 education (or similar work experience);
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance;
  • Experience in fault diagnosis and affinity with control systems;
  • Good command of the Dutch and/or English language;

• Your profile
  • A gross monthly salary between €3,600 and €4,837 gross (excluding 8% holiday allowance)
