For our client, a leading manufacturer within the FMCG sector, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Manager to take responsibility for the technical and organisational management of a fully automated production site in the North-East Brabant region. In this key role, you will combine strategic insight with practical leadership skills to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity and costs.

• Job description

  As Maintenance Engineering Manager, you are responsible for the technical support, systematic and preventive maintenance and continuous development of your production department. You will ensure that the plant runs efficiently, safely and future-proof. In doing so, you work closely with the Plant Manager and lead an experienced team of maintenance and engineering professionals.

  Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of a small team of direct and a medium-sized team of indirect employees within maintenance and engineering:
  • Ensure compliance and improvement of safety, quality and environmental standards;
  • Analyse and resolve technical failures and quality losses;
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and process improvements;
  • Select, introduce and evaluate new technologies and technical solutions;
  • Monitor budgets and minimise operational costs;
  • Coordinate international factory projects, including planning, layout and execution;
  • Optimisation of systems, components and technical documentation;
  • Development of maintenance standards and assurance within the management system
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within multidisciplinary teams.

• Offer
  • Completed college or university degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering;
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar technical leadership role;
  • Demonstrated experience within an international, fully automated manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of CAD, SAP, PLC systems, MS Office and industrial databases;
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills;
  • A proactive attitude, sense of responsibility and motivation to improve.
