Our client manages a large number of complex plants at a leading industrial site in Geleen. To strengthen the electrical engineering team, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Electrical Engineering Technician who gets energy from fault-free work, preventive maintenance and responsibility for a safe electrical work area on the plants.

  In this role, you will work as a Qualified Low Voltage Person in accordance with EN50110 and you will be jointly responsible for the optimal and safe functioning of the electrical installations on the entire production site. You will make an important contribution to preventing faults, carrying out inspections and supervising external contractors.

  Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Performing electrical work as a Competent Low Voltage Person (EN50110);
  • Create and ensure an electrically safe working environment for internal and external technicians;
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on electrical installations;
  • Processing and recording inspection results and maintenance in the maintenance system;
  • Detect, analyse and resolve electrical faults;
  • Perform minor repairs following inspections;
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors and fellow technicians;
  • Support improvement of electrical engineering processes and practices;
  • Actively participate in the internal training programme to deepen technical knowledge.
• About the company

  You will join our client at one of the largest and most advanced production sites in the Netherlands, located in Geleen. The Maintenance Specialty Electrical department here supports nine plants and consists of a team of 5 engineers and 12 technicians.

  The team works with a strong focus on safety, security of supply and minimising breakdowns. The culture is driven, collegial and focused on collaborating with different disciplines within the process industry.

• Offer
  • MBO degree in electrical engineering or related, preferably level 4;
  • Knowledge of power distribution, motors, drives, lighting and tracing;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an ATEX environment;
  • Strong safety awareness and experience in process/industrial environments;
  • Good command of the Dutch language, basic English is sufficient;
  • Analytical, results-oriented, stress-resistant and proactive;
  • No 9-to-5 mentality and used to the dynamics of full-time production;
  • Willing to undertake additional in-house training to deepen your technical skills.
