Our client, an internationally operating manufacturer in FMCG, is looking for a Demand and Forecasting Planner who wants to make a difference. You will optimise demand planning, ensure accurate forecasts and work closely with various teams to support business objectives.

    As Demand and Forecasting Planner, you will be part of the IBP System Demand Planning team. You will focus on forecasting product demand within European markets, analysing data, and supporting decision-making with concrete insights. You will contribute to an efficient supply chain and help our client achieve operational excellence.

    Your duties and responsibilities:

    • Collect and analyse data from various sources, including databases and external information;
    • Cleaning up and preparing data for accurate analyses;
    • Develop and maintain statistical models for demand forecasting;
    • Analyse market trends, customer demand patterns and promotional activities to identify demand drivers;
    • Develop accurate SKU-level demand forecasts for European markets;
    • Monitor key KPIs and collaborate with stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy;
    • Preparation of reports and visualisations to clearly communicate insights to management and teams;
    • Provide input into S&OP and S&OE meetings with SKU and customer-level insights;
    • Collaborate with sales, customers, supply chain and other departments to align demand forecasts with business strategies;
    • Lead volume clinics with key accounts and regional teams;
    • Initiate improvement projects to continuously optimise demand planning processes and tools;
    • Manage and optimise the SAP IBP system and collaborate with consultants for system improvements.

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, mathematics, statistics, economics, data science or similar; a master's degree or relevant certifications would be a nice plus;
    • Minimum 4 years' experience in data analysis, forecasting or similar roles; experience in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging industry is a plus;
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn complex data into actionable insights;
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office; knowledge of Python or SQL would be advantageous;
    • Experience with demand planning software and ERP systems; knowledge of SAP IBP, SAP ECC or SAP HANA is a plus;
    • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset;
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on data analysis and process improvement;
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
