• Job description

  As a Service Technician, you will be the key figure in keeping the automated warehouse of Van Gelder, supplier of daily fresh fruit and vegetables to the whole of the Netherlands, running. You will work with advanced systems such as automatic cranes, robot technology and transport systems that ensure an efficient and reliable logistics process.

  Based in Ridderkerk, you and your team will ensure optimum performance of these installations. You will be responsible for both preventive maintenance and the rapid resolution of technical faults, so that Van Gelder's operations can continue uninterrupted.

  Your duties/responsibilities: 

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems;
  • Troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical and partly control engineering);
  • Perform inspections and record work carried out;
  • Identify recurring problems and contribute to structural improvements;
  • Prioritise faults and call in second-line support as needed;
  • Working in a 5-shift together with 2 fellow technicians and a flow controller, with you as Senior Service Technician being the point of contact.

• Offer
  • MBO 4 working and thinking level (towards Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering);
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance;
  • NEN3140 certification or willing to obtain it through our client;
  • Knowledge of fault analysis and troubleshooting;
  • Good command of Dutch or English;
  • Living at max 1 hour drive from Ridderkerk;
  • Flexible, proactive and service-oriented.
• Your profile
  • Salary between €3,200 and €3,800 gross per month, depending on experience
  • Shift allowance of 30% (5-shift) where you work 6 days and then have 4 days off
  • 27 holidays, of which 7 are flexible (take/save/pay out)
